Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County to teach about chickens

KINGSTON >> Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County will hold two classes on raising and housing chickens.
The class will go over everything interested parties need to know to start raising chickens for fun or profit; housing and feeding needs; health management; weather and predator concerns; and more.
The class will be led by the extension’s livestock educator, Jason Detzel.
The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 16 at the extension’s Education Center in Kingston Plaza and again from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Ulster County Fairgrounds, 249 Libertyville Road, New Paltz.
