Gallatin to allow backyard chickens

Gallatin to allow backyard chickens

Gallatin city leaders have ended a ban prohibiting residents from keeping domesticated chickens at their homes inside the city limits. The change, which will allow individuals who obtain an annual $25 license from the city to keep a small number of chickens on a noncommercial basis in their backyard, was unanimously approved by the Gallatin City Council on Tuesday.
